Cooking rice
1. A 160 ml measuring cup is included with your cooker. A filled cup of rice yields approximately 2-1/4 cups of cooked rice. NOTE: Make sure that the rice is leveled when the cup is filled. The rice cooker has the capacity for 5 measuring cups of dry rice.
2. For best result, pour desired amount of rice into a separate container. Wash and rinse the rice until the rinse water is clear.
3. Take the inner pot out of the rice cooker. Place the washed rice into the inner pot and add appropriate amount of water. (Use the markings at the inside of the inner pot to match the amount of water needed to produce desired cups of rice. For example, 5 cups of dry rice, requires water to be filled to the 5th mark located at the inside of the inner pot).
4. Replace the inner pot securely into the base. NOTE: Make sure bottom of cooking pot is not bent or warped, or it will not conduct heat correctly. also make sure to always wipe the outer surface of the inner pot dry. If the inner pot is wet when placed into the cooker, this may cause a cracking noise while the unit heats up. 
5. Place the glass lid on tap of the rice cooker.
CAUTION: Do not operate the rice cooker without closing the lid.
6. Plug the rice cooker into a 230V AC outlet. Press the power switch on the back of the rice cooker. Use the front panel switch to enable boil or keep warm function. The cooking process begins as soon as the COOK/WARM light illuminates.
7. When the rice cooker has finished cooking, “warm” light will illuminate. For best results, let the cooked rice sit for 15 minutes before stirring or removing. This allows the steam to finish the cooking process.
8. Mix the rice. After rice has steamed for 15 minutes, carefully open the lid as steam will escape. Use the paddle provided, or any other non-metal long handle utensil, to scoop and mix the rice well. Allow all steam to escape.
9. Keep warm when cooking is completed, the rice cooker will automatically go into the warm-mode. At this time, the “warm” light will illuminate. NOTE: Do not warm rice for more than 12 hours. It is recommended to consume the rice within a twelve-hour period. lf the warm mode is not desired, simply unplug the rice cooker from the wall. Do not touch the base unit or inner pot until they have cooled down completely.
10. Allow the rice cooker to cool completely before cleaning.
11. When the rice cooker is not being used, please keep it unplugged.

Steam 
The appliance comes with a grate for steaming of vegetables. Place the grate at the bottom of the cooking pot. Add some water and place the vegetables on the grate. Pick the vegetables up when you have reached the desired result. 

FEATURES
WARM: Use to turn on rice cooker, warm, and to turn off. Unit automatically shifts to WARM when rice is cooked, when in WHITE RICE and WHOLE GRAIN programs. WARM can be pressed at any time to cancel the program.
WHITE RICE: Use to cook white rice for a preprogrammed cook time.
WHOLE GRAIN: Use to cook brown rice or other grains (any other than white rice) fora preprogrammed cook time.
STEAM: Use to steam food for up to 60 minutes.
SAUTE: Use to sauté food for 60 minutes.

Cooking rice (White rice and whole grain)
1. Use the 160 ml measuring cup that comes included with your cooker to add desired amount of rice.
2. For best result, pour desired amount of rice into a separate container. Wash and rinse the rice until the rinse water is clear.
3. Take the inner pot out of the rice cooker. Place the washed rice into the inner pot and add appropriate amount of water. (Use the markings at the inside of the inner pot to match the amount of water needed to produce desired cups of rice. For example, 4 cups of dry rice, requires water to be filled to the 4th mark located at the inside of the inner pot). 
4. Place cooking pot securely into the base and put on the lid. NOTE: Make sure bottom of cooking pot is not bent or warped, or it will not conduct heat correctly.
5. The rice cooker control panel lights will flash for 15 seconds before it shuts off if not any program is selected. If this happens press “WARM” one more time to activate the unit again. 
6. While lights are flashing, press desired program. Light will illuminate for program selected. 

7. For “WHITE RICE” and “WHOLE GRAIN” programs, the rice cooker will adjust cooking time throughout the cooking cycle based on the amount of rice and moisture in the pot. NOTE: You may notice that cooker will place a hold on the time or significantly decrease cooking time as the moisture content changes. 
8. When finished cooking, the rice cooker will switch to “warm” mode. This mode will last up to 12 hours before it automatically turns off. 
9. NOTE: Do not warm rice for more than 12 hours. It is recommended to consume the rice within a twelve-hour period. lf the warm mode is not desired, simply unplug the rice cooker from the wall.
10. For best results, let the cooked rice sit for 15 minutes before stirring or removing. This allows the steam to finish the cooking process.

Saute
1. Place cooking pot securely into the base. NOTE: Make sure bottom of cooking pot is not bent or warped, or it will not conduct heat correctly.
2. Add oil and butter into the pot.
3. Connect the appliance to the outlet. Press “WARM” button to activate the unit. Press “SAUTE” within 15 seconds to avoid the unit to deactivate itself. 
4. When “SAUTE” has been selected the display will flash “30” this is the active default time for the “SAUTE” program. The time can be extended up to 60 minutes by repeatedly pressing or holding the “SAUTE” button down. 

5. Let the unit heat for 5 minutes without lid. Add ingredients into the cooking pot using a wooden or plastic cooking utensil. Stir until ingredients are cooked to desired texture. The “SAUTE” program will turn off automatically when the timer reaches zero (maximum 60 minutes). 
6. To turn the “SAUTE” program off before 60 minutes, press the “WARM” button. 

Steam 
1. The appliance comes with a grate for steaming of vegetables. Place the grate at the bottom of the cooking pot. Add some water and place the vegetables on the grate. Pick the vegetables up when you have reached the desired result. The default timer is set to 10 minutes. The The time can be extended by pressing the “STEAM” button repeatedly as long as the display is flashing. The “STEAM” program will turn off automatically when the timer reaches zero 
(maximum 60 minutes).
