Each coffee style – Turkish, espresso, percolator, filter, French press, and steep – requires a different grind size, with a range of settings available within each style. We recommend experimenting with different grind settings to achieve a brew that best matches your taste. To start, use the grind size suggested in the chart below as a reference.
1. Rotate the bean hopper (3) to your desired grind size.
2. Weigh the coffee beans based on your preferred brew volume.
3. You can grind directly into the coffee grounds container or use the portafilter adapters (10 or 11) to grind directly into the portafilter.
GRIND SIZE GUIDE
• Turkish: Start with grind setting 2, adjusting finer or coarser to taste.
• Espresso: Start with grind setting 5, making micro-adjustments for preference.
Note: There are 41 grind size settings tailored for various coffee styles.
Please keep in mind that each grinder may have slight calibration differences.
For a finer grind adjustment, the detachable upper grinder burr allows up to 10 micro-adjustments, enhancing your brewing experience. Remove the screws before adjusting, find your setting and re-attach the screws.
