Homemade nougat

Recipe for homemade nougatti flavored with roasted hazelnuts and chocolate.

This nougat tastes far better than the one you get in the store. With a lovely taste of roasted hazelnuts and real chocolate. The perfect gift for yourself or others, and very easy to make if you have a good blender.

This is what you need

  • 250 g hazelnuts
  • 250 g good dark chocolate
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk (397g)
  • 6 tablespoons of warm milk

How to do it:

  1. Roast the hazelnuts until golden in the oven at 180 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
  2. Rub the nuts in a kitchen towel to remove loose shells. Cool.
  3. Put the nuts in a food processor and chop them until they have the consistency of peanut butter.
  4. Melt the chocolate over a water bath. Pour the chocolate, condensed milk and some of the warm milk into the blender.
  5. Blend together and add more hot milk if the nougat is very thick.
  6. Pour into small clean glasses.
  7. Seal and store in the refrigerator.
