Halloween chocolate mousse

Halloween chocolate mousse

Recipe for velvety chocolate mousse with Halloween decorations.

Velvetly smooth chocolate mousse with an absolutely perfect chocolate taste. These are just as suitable for Halloween as for New Year's dessert. The decoration can decide.

4-6 servings.

Chocolate mousse:

  • 2 gelatin sheets
  • 150 g milk chocolate
  • 50 g dark cooking chocolate
  • 1 pinch of flake salt
  • 1 dl milk
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 dl whipping cream

How to do it:

  1. Put gelatin in plenty of cold water.
  2. Finely chop the milk chocolate and dark chocolate and place in a bowl.
  3. Sprinkle with flaked salt.
  4. Heat the milk and sugar until the milk smokes.
  5. Remove the pan from the heat, remove the gelatin sheets from the water and squeeze the water out of them.
  6. Add the milk and stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  7. Pour the still steaming hot milk over the chocolate.
  8. Let stand for a couple of minutes before stirring until all the chocolate has melted into the milk.
  9. Cool to room temperature.
  10. Whip the cream to soft peaks with a hand mixer or the mixer. And fold the cream into the melted chocolate.
  11. Pour the chocolate mousse into serving glasses.
  12. Put in the fridge for at least 1 hour until the chocolate mousse has set.

Decoration:

  • 5 oreo cookies
  • Some edible flowers or snacks
  • Chocolate biscuits for tombstones
  • A little melted dark chocolate
  • for text on tombstones, approx. 50 g.

How to do it:

  1. Crush oreo biscuits in a food processor or with a rolling pin into edible "soil". Feel free to write with melted dark chocolate on the chocolate biscuit and leave in the fridge until the chocolate has hardened.
  2. Stick a small biscuit into each mousse so that you get small tombstones.
  3. Sprinkle some Oreo "soil" in front of each gravestone and decorate with some edible flowers or small treats.

Happy Halloween!
