Homemade granola bar

Make delicious, healthy homemade granola bars. Perfect to take in your packed lunch or on your Sunday walk.

For this recipe you need a powerful blender as the mass is relatively thick.

You need

  • 2 dl dates without stones
  • 0.5 dl acacia honey or agave syrup
  • 1 dl peanut or almond butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 4 dl lightly boiled oatmeal
  • 2 dl coconut
  • 1 pinch of flake salt
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 50 g dark chocolate

How to do it

  1. Put the dates in a bowl and pour boiling water over them. Leave until the water has cooled down.
  2. Pour off the water and put the dates, honey, nut butter and vanilla extract in a blender.
  3. Run on the smoothie program to a smooth batter.
  4. Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl and pour the date mixture over. Turn around until everything is well mixed and place in a loaf tin with baking paper.
  5. Spread outwards and press down a little.
  6. Chill until set.
  7. Cut into bars.
  8. Melt the chocolate over a water bath and pour the chocolate over the bars.
  9. Leave until the chocolate has hardened.
  10. Great for the next trip!
