Pesto

Forget shop-bought jars – homemade pesto takes just minutes to make, and the taste is simply irresistible. It is super easy to make with our immersion blender Prostick.

Ingredients

  • 1 pot of fresh basil
  • 2 tbsp pine nuts
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Approx. 100 ml olive oil
  • 50 g grated Parmesan
  • ½ tsp flaky sea salt
  • A little freshly ground black pepper

How to make pesto with an immersion blender

  1. Add to cup
    Place all the ingredients in the measuring cup of your immersion blender.
  2. Blend smooth
    Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides if needed.
  3. Adjust
    Add a little more olive oil for a looser consistency. Season to taste.
  4. Serve or store
    Use straight away over pasta, as a topping for meat, fish or vegetables, or store in a jar in the fridge for later.

Tips:

  • Lightly toast the pine nuts in a dry pan for extra flavour.
  • Swap pine nuts for almonds or walnuts, if you like.
  • Add a squeeze of lemon for brightness.
