DIRECTIONS FOR USING THE GLASS CERAMIC COOKING SURFACE
Only use pots and pans for electrical stoves with a flawless, even bottom and an appropriate diameter (heat-proof glass, crockery or china can also be used). If the bottom of the pot is uneven or too small, energy will be wasted and the maximum heat cannot be used. The cooking surface and the bottom of the pot must always be clean and dry. Do not use any cooking pots consisting of plastic, inferior china, enamel or aluminium foil. In case any objects made up of plastic, aluminium foil, sugar - or dishes containing sugar - inadvertently happen to melt on the hot ceramic hob, shrove them away from the hot cooking area immediately by using a cleaning scraper.
For cleaning, it is imperative that no scratch-producing sponges, scouring powders or chemically aggressive cleaning agents like cleansing sprays or stain removers are used! Special glass plate cleansing agents are available on the market. Avoid scratches on the glass plate produced by pointed or sharp objects. Protect the glass plate from breaking caused by falling objects.
The heating zones are regulated by an energy control, which enables varying the regulation infinitely from keeping warm (approx. 7 % of the power) to maximum temperature (100 % power).
Please use the following settings:
1 ... 5 to warm up and keep warm
4 ... 9 to cook, stew and steam
8 ... 12 to start cooking, bake and fry
Switch the appliance down in time, so you can save energy. Further information is given by any ordinary cookbook.
The residual heat indicators on the front part of the cooking surface point to still prevailing risks of burning but also to residual heat which can be used for keeping dishes warm.
DIRECTIONS FOR USING THE OVEN
With the lower rotary switch you can vary the oven temperature for the function ”upper and lower heat” infinitely from 50°C to 25O°C or choose the functions ”only lower
heat (650 W)”, ”only upper heat (500W)” or ”grill” (1000 W), where the oven is heating with maximum power. In the upper part of the oven there are two heating elements, whereby the inner one provides for the grilling function, the outer one is working when setting the
function ’upper heat’ or ’upper/lower heat’.
To switch on the oven, turn the above rotary switch to the right as far as it will go and then back to the desired operation time or turn it left and choose ”M” = continuous operation. The oven is in operation now, the pilot lamps are going on and the heating process is beginning.
When the lower pilot lamp goes out, the adjusted oven temperature is reached. The alternately lighting up and going out of the lamp during the operation shows the thermostatic regulation of the oven temperature.
Operating with timer, the oven switches off automatically when the set time is over, and a bell rings shortly. The operation time can always be changed by turning the switch to
the right or left. Being adjusted for continuous operation ”M”, the appliance does not switch off automatically. For switching it off the rotary switch has to be turned back to ”0”.
The oven door is equipped with a seal, a certain air exchange, however, is required. As this can cause slightly diverging temperatures in the front and back part of the oven, we recommend to turn the dishes when half of the preparing time is over.
The standard equipment of the mini Kitchener includes a roasting tray and a grid. As special accessory we additionally offer a flat tray, which is appropriate for preparing
cookies, pizza etc.. When required, you can get this tray from your specialist.
While the oven is operated, its interior light is shining and enables you to observe your dishes. The upper pilot lamp indicates that at least one of the functions is in operation.
When you have finished cooking or baking, make sure that all switches are in ”0” position and the lamps went out.
