1. Place your food slicer on a stable and flat surface.
2. Adjust the slice thickness as desired by turning the handle to the appropriate position.
3. Place the food on the carriage. For the best performance, move the carriage backwards and forwards smoothly and do not press the meat too hard against the blade. The duration of your forwards/cutting stroke should be 2-3 seconds. The duration of your backwards stroke should be about as long as the duration of your forwards/cutting stroke, at least three seconds or longer.
4. When using the slicer, always hold the food against the sliding carriage. Use the food pusher to hold the food against the blade. To ensure perfect slicing, do not press the food against the blade too firmly.
5. The slicer incorporates a “safety” feature. The On/Off button is on the top; turn the slicer on by pressing the button. But the button can only be pressed when the safety feature, on the side of the slicer with a padlock icon, is pressed in. With the slicer in front of you, the safety feature can be pressed with one finger, and the On/Off button on thetop can be pressed with your thumb.
6. This food slicer has been designed to operate for short periods of time (max. 5 min.)
