In case the water is hard (The water contains too much calcium and magnesium) it can cause a white powder residue and leave heavy scale buildup on the surface of water basin, transducer, and inner surface of the water tank.
• Empty and refill the water tank every three days.
• Clean the water tank and basin every three days.
• Before storing the humidifier, pour out all remaining water from the tank and the basin, clean and dry all components thoroughly. Clean the humidifier again before next use after storage.
HOW TO CLEAN THE TRANSDUCER
• Clean with clean water and citric acid if there is scale on it.
• Wipe off the scale from the surface with a soft sponge or cloth.
• Rinse with clean water.
HOW TO CLEAN THE WATER TANK
• Remove the water tank from the humidifier.
• If scale deposits are present, you can use citric acid:
• Apply a small amount directly to the affected areas.
• Allow the solution to work for 2-5 minutes.
• Scrub gently with a soft brush.
• Ensure the water valve on the underside of the water tank is cleaned. The valve can leak if there is scaling on the rubber seal.
• Rinse the water tank thoroughly with clean water.
HOW TO CLEAN THE FILTER
Only applies to HU-250TXD and HU-250TXL.
• Clean the filter after using 1000L water consumption, depending on the water quality. If the filter is dirty it needs to be cleaned more frequently.
• Make a mild water and vinegar solution with 15ml vinegar (1 tablespoon) and 600ml water.
• Place the filter in the solution for 1 hour and rinse.
• Put the filter under the sun for 4-6 hours to dry, or dry overnight on the countertop.
