Coffee shake - iced coffee with ice cream

Enjoy a refreshing and sweet coffee shake. It is well suited for refreshment and cooling as well as a small snack meal and dessert. You can easily make the popular iced coffee with ice cream at home in the blender. Coffee milkshake is a good and simple alternative to the coffee drinks frappe and frappuccino.

When you make iced coffee, it is important that the coffee is cooled immediately. Avoid the coffee being left on the pot as you will get an aftertaste on your version of iced coffee.

This is what you need

  • 2.5 dl Gunpowder coffee
  • Ice cubes - about one glass
  • 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • 2 scoops of chocolate ice cream

Procedure

  1. Make a cup of strong coffee. Pour this into the blender.
  2. Fill with ice cubes.
  3. Blend to a smooth iced coffee. If the coffee is not cold enough, add more ice cubes.
  4. Fill with ice cream and blend to the desired consistency.
  5. Pour into a glass and top with cream as desired.

Tips

Use strong coffee - ground coffee for extra good taste. Usually you use 60g of coffee per litre, but here we have doubled and used 120g per liter while also using little water.
