“We like this newcomer so much that it has now taken the top spot on our list”, Tek.no
With International Waffle Day just around the corner, it is important to have a really good waffle maker at home. In the latest version of its group test of single waffle makers, Tek.no named the Joy waffle maker Best in Test. This means Joy has taken over the throne from Wilfa Bell, the long-time winner, and Wilfa now holds both first and second place in Tek.no’s test.
In the test, Tek.no uses three criteria:
- Single waffle plate
- Temperature control
- The waffle maker makes traditional waffles
According to Tek.no, the Joy waffle maker meets all of these criteria, and several positive features are highlighted. Among other things, it has an improved thermostat dial with an indicator light, and it stands more steadily on the worktop thanks to its wider feet. In addition, the waffle maker has a surface that is easy to clean and a sound signal that can be switched on or off as desired. In summary, Joy is a waffle maker that bakes well and evenly and is easy to use.
The Joy single waffle maker was launched in autumn 2023 and is available in both single

and double versions.

Bell waffle maker still recommended
The Bell waffle maker still receives a wholehearted recommendation and is described by Tek.no as being in a league of its own. This is the right choice if you want larger waffles, as it makes six hearts with a diameter of 21 cm. You can read the full test here (in Norwegian).
