Homemade strawberry ice cream

With homemade strawberry ice cream, you get the taste of real iodine berries, and it tastes so much better.

Strawberry ice cream
* 2.5 dl H-milk

* 3 dl of cream

* 1 vanilla pod

* 4 egg yolks

* 200 g of sugar

* 1 kg strawberries

How to do it

  1. Put milk and cream in the pot.
  2. Slice the vanilla pod. Take both vanilla seeds and the vanilla pod itself into the pot.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat and leave the vanilla cream to infuse with the vanilla while it cools. When the mixture has reached room temperature, remove the vanilla pod.
  4. Whisk egg yolks and sugar to a thick and light eggnog.
  5. Mix the vanilla cream milk into the eggnog mixture.
  6. Clean the strawberries and mash them into a nice strawberry mash. The best result is obtained by using blender or stick mixer, so you get the strawberries sufficiently finely pureed.
  7. Mix the strawberry puree into the ice cream mixture.
  8. Put the strawberry mixture in the ice cream machine. Process until the mixture has turned into soft strawberry ice cream (see tip).
  9. Serve the ice cream like this straight from the ice cream machine if you like your strawberry ice cream soft. If not, put it in the freezer for a couple of hours, until it is completely hard.

Sauce

The strawberry ice cream also tastes good with strawberry sauce.

How to make homemade strawberry sauce.

Put strawberries, sugar, squeezed juice from half a lime and boiling water in the pot. Let the mixture simmer on low heat until the sugar has dissolved. Use either one stick mixer or a blender and mash the mixture to remove all lumps. Taste with sugar until you have the desired taste and sweetness of the strawberry sauce. Cool the sauce in the fridge until serving.

Hint!

If you want completely firm strawberry ice cream, you can put the soft ice cream in a container and put it in the freezer for 1-2 hours before serving.

The strawberry ice cream is great just as it is, without any additional accessories!

To get a good strawberry flavor on the strawberry ice cream, you must use sweet and good strawberries. The ice cream can also be made with frozen strawberries. Then they must be thawed first. Then measure them up to the correct amount.
