HINT!
"YOU SHOULD WHIP THE EGG WHITE WELL BEFORE YOU MIX IT IN WITH THE REST OF THE RAW MATERIALS."
This is what you need
- 250g Wheat flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 4 Egg yolks
- 4 Egg whites
- 80g Butter
- 30g Fresh yeast
- 1.5 dl Milk
- 1.5 dl Water
- 60g Sugar
- 1 Vanilla bean
How to do it
- Mix wheat flour, salt, melted butter, milk and water. Then stir in the egg yolks, yeast, sugar and vanilla pod, while whipping the egg white until stiff and fold it into the batter at the end.
- Let the batter stand for an hour before you fry the waffles in a Belgian waffle iron. If you don't have such an iron, you can use a regular waffle iron. Belgian waffle irons can be found in several stores for electrical products.
- Please grease the iron with melted butter before pouring the batter into the iron.
- Fry until golden and crispy. Serve with whipped cream and stirred strawberries.
