Replace the slice of bread with coarse waffles. A great alternative for both breakfast, lunch and supper.
This is what you need
- 1 1/2 dl whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 dl whole wheat, fine
- 1 dl oatmeal
- 2 eggs
- 4 dl milk
- 2 tablespoons liquid margarine
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
How to do it
- Whisk the eggs
- Alternately mix the dry and the wet into the batter
- Fry.
Hint!
If you get lumps in the batter, add more of the dry ingredients, so it becomes a thick batter. Then it will be easier to stir out the lumps.
If the batter is left for a while, it will swell and thicken. Add more milk and water to desired thickness.
If you use a blender for the batter, start with oatmeal and blend it until it becomes fine oat flour, then take the wet in the batter, blend and pour in the rest of the dry.
