If you like After Eight, you will definitely like this one with chopped mint chocolate.
In addition, real cooking chocolate is used, which gives the ice cream a rich and rich chocolate taste. This ice cream is very easy and quick to make.
The beauty of making homemade ice cream is that you can experiment with flavors that you want.
This is what you need
- 8 egg yolks
- 6 tbsp sugar
- 6.5 dl heavy cream
- 200 g cooking chocolate
- 200g After Eight
How to do it
Put 1.5 dl of the heavy cream in a pot. Divide the cooking chocolate and melt it together with the cream over medium heat. Stir the mixture evenly. Beat the egg yolks and sugar to make an eggnog. Fold the chocolate mixture into the egg carton. Whip the rest of the whipping cream until creamy. Fold the cream into the chocolate egg tin.
Put the mixture into the ice cream maker. Let the ice cream maker run for 60 minutes and do something else while the ice cream is being made...
Chop up the After Eight chocolates and add the pieces when there are about 10 minutes left in the process. The ice cream is now ready! If you want it firmer, keep it in a box and put it in the freezer for about 2 hours (or longer). Serve and enjoy the chocolate ice cream with some extra After Eight!
Note that this is quite a large portion. If you want to make a smaller portion, there is of course nothing to stop you from halving the recipe.
