Sticky cauliflower in the air fryer

Sticky cauliflower in the air fryer

Recipe for Sticky cauliflower wings in the airfryer.

Crispy fried small florets of cauliflower, covered in a thick sweet and sour Asian sauce with lots of ginger and garlic flavor. Thanks to the air fryer, this is a quick everyday dish that satisfies the whole family. Perfect for vegetarian days and a reasonable dinner.

Cauliflower:

1 head of cauliflower
4-5 dl panko breading
3 eggs
Salt and pepper

How to do it:
Cut the cauliflower into small florets and the stem into approx. ½ cm thick slices.

Put the panko breadcrumbs in a bowl, and lightly beat the eggs together in another bowl. Dip the cauliflower in the eggs, let them drain a little before turning them in the panko coating. Place them in the basket of the airfryer, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and bake for 15 minutes at 180 degrees. Turn them over halfway through the cooking time when the air fryer beeps and says "turn".

Sweet and sour sauce:

0.5 dl hoisin sauce
2 tbsp acacia honey
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp finely grated fresh ginger
3 cloves of garlic
0.5 dl water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1-2 dl orange juice
Sesame seeds, spring onion and fresh coriander to serve

How to do it:

Put the sauce, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, oil, ginger in a small saucepan and press the garlic cloves in. Heat on medium heat until well mixed. Stir water and cornstarch together in a small bowl and stir into the hot sauce.

Heat the sauce over medium heat until it has thickened and bubbled a couple of times, approx. 2-3 minutes.

Add the cauliflower to the sauce just before serving, and serve with freshly cooked rice, fresh coriander, shredded spring onions and sesame seeds.
