Imagine a taco cake made with tortillas and topped with a crispy layer of nacho chips. Not only is it wonderfully delicious – it is also conveniently cooked in an air fryer.
How to make taco cake in the air fryer
-
Make the filling
Thaw the veggie mince and mix it with the taco seasoning, crushed tomatoes, salsa and crème fraîche in a bowl. Season with salt. -
Mix the vegetables
Mix the chopped vegetables in a bowl. -
Make the cheese cream
Mix the grated cheese and crème fraîche into a simple cheese cream. -
Line the basket
Take out the air fryer basket and press a sheet of baking paper into the bottom. -
Layer
Place a tortilla in the bottom and spread a fifth of the mince mixture over it. Sprinkle over a fifth of the vegetables and finish with a few dollops of cheese cream. Add the next tortilla and continue layering tortilla, mince, vegetables and cheese cream until you reach the last tortilla. -
Top
Spread the remaining mince mixture on top. Lightly crush the nacho chips and sprinkle them over, then add the last of the vegetables and cheese cream. -
Bake
Put the basket in the air fryer and bake at 175 °C for 25–30 minutes, until nicely browned. Serve!
