Tiramisu - a famous and easy-to-make Italian dessert.
Tiramisu is incredibly practical for parties as it can be made the day before, and only gets better after standing for a while.
This is what you need
- 6 yolks from large eggs
- 200 g sugar
- 500 g mascarpone cheese
- 4 dl heavy cream
- 30 ladyfingers crackers
- 2.5 dl strong coffee
- 1 dl coffee liqueur
- 30 g cocoa for sprinkling
How to do it:
- Put egg yolks and sugar in a bowl and heat on a pot while whisking.
- Whip until you have a light and fluffy cream, this job is made easier with a Wilfa Probaker or Wilfa Smooth Mix with whisk. It takes about 10 minutes until you have a thick cream.
- Remove the cream from the heat and continue whisking to cool it faster.
- Stir in mascarpone cheese to a smooth cream.
- Whip the cream until creamy and fold into the mascarpone cream.
- Chill while you prepare the rest.
- Brew strong coffee and mix with coffee liqueur.
- Find a large and shallow bowl or small deep pan.
- Dip the biscuits quickly into the coffee and liqueur, and cover the bottom of the mold with biscuits.
- Add a layer of cream, spread out and add another layer of dipped biscuits.
- Continue until you have used up all the cookies and cream.
- Dry off with cream and cover with plastic wrap.
- Put in the fridge overnight.
Sprinkle on a layer of cocoa before serving and enjoy with a cup of freshly brewed coffee.
