Brownie in Airfryer

Brownie in Airfryer

Did you know that it’s actually great to bake whole cakes in an air fryer? It bakes just as well as a conventional oven, but you save a bit on your electricity bill by only heating up a small air fryer instead of a whole oven. This brownie is simple and quick to mix together and is heavenly delicious. The air fryer gives it a crispy, thin surface, just as perfect brownies should have.

Ingredients:

  • 200 g dark baking chocolate
  • 110 g butter
  • 200 g light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla sugar
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 65 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 dl milk chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions:

Coarsely chop the chocolate and melt it together with the butter over low heat in a saucepan. Allow to cool to room temperature. Beat the eggs and sugar with a hand mixer until it becomes foamy. Mix in the vanilla and the chocolate-butter mixture. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt, and fold them in. Finally, fold in the chocolate chips if using.

Pour the batter into a greased pan that fits your air fryer and bake for about 25 minutes at 165 degrees Celsius. The brownie is ready when the top is shiny, and the edges are fully baked. If you test the centre with a skewer or toothpick, it should come out with a few moist crumbs but not wet batter.

Cool and serve with cream or vanilla ice cream. It can also be enjoyed warm.
