You need
Makes about 6 waffle plates in Bell waffle iron
- 3 eggs
- 3 tablespoons sugar (possibly honey)
- 5 dl milk/water (take what you have, feel free to use leftovers)
- 200 g wheat flour
- 100 g whole wheat fine or whole wheat flour
- 2 handfuls of oatmeal (approx. 50 g)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 50 g melted/liquid margarine or butter
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar (or cardamom)
How to do it
- Whisk together eggs and sugar/honey.
- Add just over half of the liquid and stir in the dry.
- Stir until there are no lumps and add the rest of the liquid.
- Stir in the butter/margarine.
HINT!
Make the batter ready the night before, but wait to add the baking powder until you are going to fry the waffles, otherwise most of the rising effect will disappear during the night.
