Vegan waffle

Vegan waffle gives you the good traditional taste, with a new twist on the recipe. These waffles are suitable for everyone, both those who eat vegan and those who want to top with a good dollop of sour cream. With homemade jam, they are a sure winner.

This is what you need

  • 4 dl Soya milk
  • 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • 2 dl Wheat flour
  • 1 dl Whole wheat, finely ground
  • 1 dl Oatmeal
  • 75 g Melted vegan butter, such as Berit Nordstrand Smøremyk
  • 0.5 dl Sugar
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 Cardamom

How to do it

  1. Whisk together soy milk and vinegar in a bowl and leave for about 5 minutes to thicken.
  2. Whisk in the rest of the ingredients. Let the mixture rest for at least 5 minutes. It can also be stored in the fridge for up to a day.
  3. Get going! Maybe you need to grease the waffle iron before frying, it depends on what kind of iron you have.

TIP!
If you use unsalted butter, you should put a pinch of salt in the batter.
