Crispy fried waffles, served with warm apples with salted caramel. It doesn't get much better.
This is what you need
Caramel Apples:
- 3 apples, preferably a firm and sour variety
- 200 g sugar
- 0.5 dl water
- 1.5 dl cream
- 50 g unsalted butter
- 0.5 tsp flake salt
Waffle:
How to do it
Put sugar and water in a thick-bottomed saucepan. Preferably one EGO Teflon boiler. Bring to the boil, and let cook on medium heat without stirring until you have a golden caramel. Turn down the heat and carefully pour in the cream. Stir well, and finally stir in the butter and salt.
Cut the apples into wedges and cook in the caramel until soft.
Fry waffles and serve with caramel apples and vanilla ice cream or cream.
