Crispy fried waffles, served with warm apples with salted caramel. It doesn't get much better.
This is what you need
Caramel Apples:
- 3 apples, preferably a firm and sour variety
- 200 g sugar
- 0.5 dl water
- 1.5 dl cream
- 50 g unsalted butter
- 0.5 tsp flake salt

How to do it
- Put sugar and water in a thick-bottomed saucepan. Preferably one EGO Teflon boiler.
- Bring to the boil, and let cook on medium heat without stirring until you have a golden caramel.
- Turn down the heat and carefully pour in the cream. Stir well, and finally stir in the butter and salt.
- Cut the apples into wedges and cook in the caramel until soft.
Fry waffles and serve with caramel apples and vanilla ice cream or cream.
