Warranty

5 years warranty on all Wilfa products

Wilfa provides a 5-year warranty on Wilfa-branded products from the date of purchase after 01.09.2020. The warranty covers manufacturing defects or faults that arise during the warranty period. Presentation of proof of purchase is required as evidence of the warranty. For claims, please contact the store where the item was purchased.

This warranty applies only to products purchased and used in private households. The warranty is void if the product is used commercially. The warranty is also void in cases of misuse, negligence, failure to follow Wilfa’s instructions, and modification or unauthorized repair of the product. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, incorrect use, lack of maintenance, use of incorrect electrical voltage, or the following:

  • Descaling must be performed according to the user manual
  • Overloading the product
  • Glass damage
  • Non-stick coating
  • Wear parts
  • Filters, batteries, tires, and other parts expected to be replaced regularly

This extended warranty applies only to Wilfa branded small electrical appliances.

The robust aluminium construction is built to last and helps deliver a perfect cup every time.

Zense Alux Thermo comes with a stainless steel thermo jug and two lids for optimal heat retention: a brewing lid that minimises heat loss during brewing, and a serving lid designed to keep coffee hot for longer when pouring. The brewing lid can also be used for serving, but it does not retain heat as effectively as the serving lid.

Easy refilling with a detachable water tank

The detachable water tank makes it easy to refill with fresh water. With a 1.25-litre capacity and clear dosing recommendations, it’s easy to get the right balance between coffee and water.

High-performance brewing system

The advanced brewing system maintains the correct extraction temperature throughout the process. The water stays at 92–96 °C from the first to the last drop, delivering consistent results and better flavour in the cup.

Drip stop and adjustable flow control

With adjustable flow control, you can tailor the brewing to the amount of coffee you’re making and adjust the flavour profile to your preference. You can also pause brewing when needed using the same control.

Unique pump technology

With our pump technology, the water system is emptied completely after every brew, ensuring your coffee is always brewed with fresh, oxygen-rich water. This guarantees that every cup starts with fresh water, eliminating the stale taste caused by residual water in conventional coffee makers.

With coffee makers that don’t have pump technology, up to 150 ml of water can remain in the system after brewing, which can noticeably affect the taste.

Cleaning indicator for easy maintenance

When it’s time to clean, the start/stop button will begin to pulse slowly. This makes it easy to keep your coffee maker performing at its best. We offer both cleaning and descaling products for coffee makers.

Approved by the European Coffee Brewing Centre (ECBC)

Zense Alux Thermo is ECBC approved, which includes requirements such as water temperature and contact time. To get maximum flavour, the temperature needs to be correct, and the water must flow through the coffee at the right pace. Small deviations can quickly result in coffee that tastes sour or bitter.

How to use the thermo jug

Place the lid so the arrow points to “Unlock”. Turn to “Lock” to secure the jug. When pouring: turn the lid clockwise until the arrow points to “Lock”, then turn anti-clockwise until the arrow points towards the spout and the dot. Turning to “Lock” first helps create a vacuum for smoother pouring. After pouring, close by turning clockwise until the arrow points back to “Lock”.

Tips for better coffee

  • Rinse the paper filter with water before brewing to remove any unwanted taste.
  • Use fresh coffee – preferably freshly ground. Ground coffee quickly loses aroma, and grinding just before brewing helps preserve flavour. We have several grinders suitable for filter coffee. See our coffee grinders.
  • For even hotter coffee, rinse the jug with hot water before brewing, especially if you brew 0.5 litres or less.
  • If the coffee maker hasn’t been used for a while, run a brew cycle with clean water before use.
  • Clean the filter holder, jug and lid regularly – coffee residue affects taste.
  • Do not use the coffee jug to fill the water tank, as residue can affect taste and quality.
